The City of San Juan Bautista is under mandatory water restrictions. The State Water Resources Control Board recently adopted an expanded emergency regulation to reduce urban water consumption by 25% in order to safeguard the state’s remaining water supplies. Commissions and Boards Application

The City Council of the City of San Juan Bautista is now accepting applications to fill three vacancies on the San Juan Bautista Planning Commission and Historic Resources Board. The unexpired four year terms will expire in December of 2016 and December 2018.

Position requirements, as established in the San Juan Bautista Municipal Code, include San Juan Bautista residency, should have an interest and knowledge in historic preservation, and are required to attend training.

Planning Commission/Historic Resources Board meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in City Hall.

To apply for the positions please submit an application and a letter of interest to the City Manager’s office by Tuesday, December 20th, 2016. City Hall, 311 Second St., P.O. Box 1420, San Juan Bautista, CA 95045. Letters of interest will be kept on file for one (1) year.

Youth Commission Recruitment

A volunteer adult adviser is being sought to assist the newly formed 11-member San Juan Bautista Youth Commission by guiding and supporting this group of youth ages 12-18 living within the Aromas San Juan Unified School District boundaries.
