Incorporated in 1869 the general law City of San Juan Bautista is nestled in the heart of the noted San Juan Valley between the Gabilan Mountains and Flint Hills.  Rich with culture and history, San Juan Bautista offers her residents and visitors a refreshing small town atmosphere filled with the charm and character of the past.

Tour the Old Mission San Juan Bautista, the largest of the California missions, our State Historic Park with the only Spanish Plaza left in California, or enjoying the downtown dining and shopping experience in our San Juan Bautista Historic Commercial District , which is on the National Register of Historic Places.

General Plan 2035 Public Meeting (Posted 1/22/15)

What: Public Meeting regarding the City of San Juan Bautista 2035 General Plan and Background Report

When: Wednesday, February 18th, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.

Where: Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 6359, 58 Monterey St., San Juan Bautista, C.A.

The City of San Juan Bautista invites you to attend a public meeting on Wednesday, February 18th, 2015, to discuss Draft #4 of the City of San Juan Bautista 2035 General Plan and Background Report. Electronic copies of these documents are located on the City website and hard copies are located at City Hall and the Luck Library. Please review these documents and attend the meeting to give us your feedback.

Initial Study and Negative Declaration for 11.7 Acres East of First Street
The City proposes to adopt a Negative Declaration and Initial study for amendment of the Urban Growth Boundary and Land Use Designation of the 1998 General Plan. The proposed amendment is to adjust the Urban Growth Boundary and change the Land Use designation of 11.7 acres lying East of San Juan Highway and First Street and extends approximately 850 feet, more or less, North of Ahwahnee Drive to the existing northerly boundary of the City aside shown in the 1998 General Plan.

Rancho Vista Subdivision Project

on the west side of the San Juan Highway.
