Public Safety Standing Committee

As of August 16, 2022 The City Council for the City of San Juan Bautista has approved the recommendation from the Public Safety Ad-Hoc Committee and desire to establish a permanent Public Safety Standing Committee. They are meant to meet quarterly, rather than monthly (or as otherwise needed) and discuss safety concerns in the City, and desires to include a member of “the public at large.”

The subcommittee will be asked to review contracts with the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office and Hollister Fire Department and identify possible gaps in services, review crime prevention, traffic enforcement, and other related services.
