Pursuant to the rate schedule adopted in Ordinance 2015-20 the City will be increasing the water and sewer rates for 2019/2020, effective July 1, 2019. The new water and sewer rates can be viewed HERE.

CANCELLATION OF SERVICE CONNECTION MORATORIUM - December 21, 2018
The State Water Resources Control Board-Division of Drinking Water has cancelled the service connection moratorium. This has been an issue for the City for at least the last 15 years. The City now has a safe, redundant water supply in case of a well going down. The high iron/manganese well is now on stand-by and the water discoloration issue will go away. DRINKING WATER WARNING LIFTED - March 23, 2018
The State Water Resources Control Board - Division of Drinking Water has lifted the mandatory warning for high levels of nitrates in the City of San Juan Bautista Water System. The water is now safe for all ages to drink. San Juan Bautista Water Rate Study
The Water and Sewer Rate Study Draft Report was adopted by the San Juan Bautista City Council on September 15, 2015. The Water Rate Study incorporated a uniform rate structure for water used in lieu of the tier rate structure which the City had been using for several years. The water and sewer rate increases were then approved with Ordinance 2015-20. See the staff report, Water Rate Study, and Ordinance 2015-20 below.

San Juan Bautista Water Forum & Council Goal Setting Workshop
The City of San Juan Bautista hosted a Water Forum on Saturday, January 14, 2017, to assist the public with questions and concerns regarding our water sources, water infrastructure and delivery, water quality, and water fees, rates, and billing. The forum took place at the Mission San Juan Bautista Parish Center located at 406 2nd Street in San Juan Bautista from 10 AM to 12 PM. It was followed by a City Council Goal Setting Workshop from 1 PM to 3 PM.
