REMOVAL OF PARKLETS REQUIRED
On or Before Friday, April 28, 2023
On February 28, 2023, Governor Newsom issued a Proclamation terminating the COVID-19 statewide state of emergency. On March 21, 2023, the City Council approved Resolution No. 2023-18, terminating the Local COVID-19 Emergency.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
The City Council has approved Resolution No. 2023-21 ordering the removal of all parklets located within the Third Street Public Right of Way authorized under the COVID-19 related "Transformation of Third Street" program.
Parklets must be removed no later than Friday, April 28, 2023
The City Council has authorized a one-time grant to reimburse parklet owners for the cost of removal, up to $5.00 per square foot (actual reimbursement amounts may be less).
IMPORTANT:
Certain materials used for SJB parklets require specific disposal handling.

Building Dept and Public Works Dept. inspections are required prior to parklet removal.
